Well it's time for an update on life on the islands, So yakwe hope everyone is doing well back home I know I am. I just finished my first full week of teaching classes and I have been having a blast. As far as the teaching goes it's been pretty amazing. I have had to learn to be strict in a mean sort of mannerish, which is weird for me I usually like to teach things in an easy kind of manner and be friendly but i've had to change tactics to teaching friendly while being strict if that makes any sense at all. Anyways being strict has not been easy for me cause I don't like doing that, but ill get used to it eventually and hopefully I will be able to loosen up later as they learn to stay quiet and what not for me when I ask them to. The seventh graders are a pretty crazy bunch I have 20 of them that I teach and have to keep busy and happy and focused for about three hours in the morning. Then I get to start teaching my math classes, that has especially been a challenge for me because most of the students are not motivated at all to do any kind of work, and a lot of them will try to fall asleep and generally just not pay attention to anything that I am trying to teach them. But other then those few set backs teaching has been a lot of fun for me. As far as other things are concerned I got to go to another atol near Majuro called enemanit (thats spelled wrong but thats what it sounds like) and that was super cool there was white sand beaches and palm trees and really amazing snorkeling there was even a sunken plane that I got to swim through, and there was this really amazing tree that was huge and really old and it's branches hung out over the ocean so all of us took our hammocks and hung them up in the branches, I literally hung about a foot off the ocean from a tree and took a nap it was amazing. I also went surfing the other day for the first time, I got out ok but apparently this is a really bad place to learn how to surf I got up only once and only caught one wave, the surf was really big that day, and so when I caught the wave I fell and it put me through the washing machine and it's quite shallow where we surf so I got scraped up by the coral pretty good but not to bad some of the other guys have gotten it worse. But it was fun non the less, im hoping to get good at surfing by the end of the year providing I don't kill myself first. Other than that there are many other small stories that I could tell that i've recorded in my journal for a time when I need some help remembering some things so ask me later about them, thats about everything new in my life. Oh i've been learning a bit of the local language here and some Chinese as well because I have students that speak both. Anyways im off to go eat some food yakwe and hope every one is doing well back home. Peace out my two subscribers ill write again probably this sunday to you again if I get the time.
